Hampton Inn Boston/Marlborough

A great hotel, but our stay was thrown off by poor communication and an inconsistent housekeeping policy, which meant we did not have our room cleaned during our stay. For those visiting, the actual policy is you need to request housekeeping the day before you need it. The front desk did not even mention to us that housekeeping would not be offered by default during our check in. Also, ignore the signs in the room saying complimentary housekeeping is available upon request.

Unfortunately, I did not have a great experience at this particular Hampton Inn. My husband and I booked well in advance and prepaid for two nights, but when we arrived, we were told the only room available was Room 100, all the way at the end of the hall, directly next to the side door, which was constantly opening and closing all night. The next morning, I spoke with the person at the front desk and asked about switching rooms for our second night. I was told someone would contact me that afternoon after other guests had checked out, but I never heard from anyone. Even if no additional rooms became available, I would have appreciated an update, and since I had an event all day, I wasn’t able to constantly follow up myself. I’ve stayed at numerous Hampton Inns in the past, and usually have good experiences, which is why I went out of my way to book this particular hotel when planning a trip to the Boston area. However, I slept extremely poorly both nights (partially from the slamming door and partially from loud teenage guests frequently yelling in the hallways), and based on the apparent lack of attention to my concerns, I will definitely not be staying at this location again.

This place was extremely bad. I had beg bugs crawling on top of my bed the first night of stay. The front desk changed my room they did not assist me with washing my laundry, the laundry machine was broken. The summer Hockey team took over the hotel, the kids running through the halls banging on doors the front desk was notified and nothing was done. The kids placed all of their smelly bags in the hallway making it impossible to get to your room. There was dog s running around the place and barking all night long. If you want something nice and quiet well it’s not this hotel.
